Week 1 Story-Telling: Self Portrait
The first weeks challenge was to take a picture that tells who you are, without actually showing your face.
The story is in the details. This is a picture of my home office. My bag is packed and ready to go and I am always looking forward to the next adventure. They say your animals are a reflection of you and these are my two fur babies. The light coming through is focused on pictures of my wedding day and pictures of family. The chairs and boots are totally Texas, where I live and represent my passion for the quiet countryside. I've spent a lot of time in school and am surrounded by my books. The two books on the desk describe my current state - wanting to learn about building a photography business. However, my full time job is a nurse manager in an emergency department so when I am home I like to reduce the noise and chaos to feel comfortable, peaceful, and cozy. There are several other mementos and meaningful items on the hutch behind the desk as well.
